How to Launch C/C++ Terminal in VS Code

To code in C/C++ on your Mac or Windows machine using VS Code, you first have to launch a terminal. Start by Installing a C/C++ extension from the Tools and Languages menu which you can access from the VS Code Welcome screen. In the Tools and Languages menu, you’ll see the Extensions Market Place on the left. Search for an appropriate C/C++ extension and select one.

Now, you can open a terminal for doing your C/C++ programming:

1. Open the VS Code app and press Ctrl + ` to open a terminal.

2. Using your keyboard, press Cmd or Ctrl + Shift + p to launch the Command Palette.

How to Launch the Python Terminal in VS Code

You can install the extension for Python right from the VS Code Welcome screen. Select Tools and Languages and the Extensions Market Place will open. Check the left for it and search for Python in the search box and select the necessary extensions.
