How to Find All Photos on PC
We love photos. Why won’t we when we are visual beings. From shooting photos, to downloading beautiful pictures from the internet, there’s virtually no one who hasn’t interacted with pictures. And with our digital devices, pictures are a way of communicating too. This is more reason why operating systems have a dedicated folder for keeping photos.
Windows 10 has the app as Photos. But the problem with storing photos on Windows as it is with other operating system is that you will probably not have all your photos in one place. Even if you try to, Chrome is saving downloaded photos in the Downloads folder, some other app are saving their’s in their dedicated folder. Your pictures end up being scattered all over the place. How to Find All Your Pictures on Your Windows 10 Device
The Photos app on PC is a high-level photo management app which as some great features. One of such interesting features, is the People feature based on Facial Analysis Algorithm. It identifies the photos that features a particular person.
There are possibilities that Photos can find most of your photos, if not all. Here’s how to find multiple photos in Photos.
1. Open the Start menu by clicking the Windows icon. A shortcut for doing this is pressing the Windows key on your keyboard.
2. Locate Photos on the Start menu.
3. Select Photos. This will bring up all your photos automatically arranged by date.
You’ll see photos saved, or downloaded recently first.
4. To search specifically for a photo, you can enter the file name in the search bar and press Enter.
The People feature can come in handy when searching for a specific person. Launch the feature by clicking People in the top menu and the selecting Yes to enable facial grouping when prompted.
How to Find All Photos Stored on a PC
If you have tried the above and you need another way to get all photos, here’s another hack to do that.
1. Launch the Start menu.
2. Move down the Start menu, locate and click on File Explorer.
3. Click This PC which is located on the left pane.
4. In the search box at the top, input the following: kind:=picture .
This will cause a search to be made in all partitions on your hard drive. One advantage of this method, is that it will search all images in all formats.
How to Find All Your Photos Manually
If you prefer to search manually, here’s how to do that:
1. Launch the Start menu.
2. Move down the start menu until you locate File Explorer. Click it. You can also access File Explorer through the search bar.
3. Click on Pictures which will bring out all the sub-folders contained in Pictures. After that, open each of them to access the sub-folder in them.
4. Do this also for Downloads on the left pane.
Repeat this steps for the other partitions on your system.
Your photos are now in one place! And you can browse through them without having to jump over the place. This is the beauty of the Photos app, and the search function in File Explorer. We hope you found this article helpful
