How to Delete a Contact in Signal
There are two ways of terminating communication between you and a contact: deleting the contact or blocking such contact.
Signal doesn’t allow you to delete contact directly from the app. It is not built with the option of deleting contacts from within the app. How you can get rid of a contact from Signal is by going to your contact app on your phone and deleting it from there.
If you don’t like the idea of deleting a contact, then you should try the blocking method. Here’s how to block a contact on Signal:
1. Launch Signal on your device.
2. Navigate to the contact section of the app.
3. Select the app you want to block to open the chat window.
4. Tap the name of the contact to get to the settings that controls the contact.
5. Select Block User.
6. Select Block to confirm your action.
Any contact you block will not be able to send you a message on Signal again.
How to Delete Message History in Signal
Signal messages are organised in a thread format which contains all the messages sent and received. You may want to do away with the message history of a conversation, and it’s pretty simple to do that. Here’s how:
1. Launch Signal on your phone.
2. Navigate to the chat you’re interested in deleting.
3. Tap and hold the chat for three seconds. When the menu comes up, select Delete.
4. Select Delete again to confirm.
If you’re only interested in deleting some individual messages and not the whole message history, here’s how to do that:
1. Launch Signal on your phone.
2. Navigate to your chats page and tap and hold the chat whose message you want to delete.
3. When the pop-up window comes up, select Delete.
4. Select Delete for me.
To delete messages for both you and your recipient, do the following:
1. Launch Signal.
2. Navigate to the the chat window and tap and hold the chat you wish to delete.
3. When the pop-up window comes up, select Delete.
4. Hit Delete for Everyone.

You can stop yourself from being disturbed by that annoying person or prevent spamming from a contact by using the delete function.
