Backing Up Apps To Google Drive

Backing up apps to Google Drive app is a convenient process. You’ll need to have the Google Drive app installed on your Android and the rest steps are easy to do.

1. Once the Google Drive app is installed, launch it.

2. Next, tap the three vertical lines at the top left. You’re looking for settings and this is where it is located. In the menu that opens, select Settings.

3. What you want to next is to locate the Backup & Reset option under Auto back up for Apps. Select it and when you do, you’ll be able to add photos to your Google Drive.

4. Ensure that the Back up to Google Drive toggle is selected. Then hit Back up Now.

Restore Apps from Google Drive on Android

When you have backed up your apps, any new phone you get can have the apps and settings of the former phone you backed up. If you want to restore a backup from Google Drive, follow the steps below:

1. Once you power the phone, you’ll be taken through different screens that let you get started with the phone.

2. You’ll get to a point where you’ll be asked to copy your data. This option will allow you to restore your backup.

3. You’ll need an internet connection or WiFi connection to be able to restore.

4. On the next screen, you’ll see the restore options that are available.

5. Choose the Cloud option and sign in to your Google account.

6. Go through the next couple of screens until you get to the page that list all your backups. Select the one you wish to restore and hit Restore.

7. Then the Restore process will start.

You wouldn’t want your app data and settings to be erased with your old phone and so it is important to always back up your apps.
