Create PIN For Zenith Bank USSD Transaction

Dial *966# on the phone number you use to open your Zenith Bank Account (or where you receive your alert) , then press enter and then press 2, it will ask for the last 4 digits of your debit card (that is your ATM Card number) , then you can create a 4 digit pin, if successful, you will get a message “retrieving your balance”. You will then receive a message (SMS) with your account balance on your account.

How to Reset Zenith Bank USSD PIN

To do a reset, all you need to do is simply dial; *966*60# on your mobile phone and follow the on-screen prompts.

You could also reset your pin, it will request you to enter old one and then enter the new one twice.

    So this means a person who doesn’t have a debit card can’t register and use the *966# code for any transaction??? this really sucks 😠😠.. ….you people need to really work and upgrade your way of doing things in that bank… I have an account with Wema bank, on opening account, they gave me a debit card free of charge… your bank when I went to open my new account, I ticked the master card option and went further to ask the lady that attended to me details about cards,she said its one thousand Naira and I have to come bank to obtain a different form to apply for card… why not that instant?? it is really not good enough.

    Yes, You will need it, although you could contact the bank’s customer care if there is another way to do this without the Debit Card.

    You require a working ATM card to register for USSD transaction. The problem with the ATM card is from the bank, Go to one of the bank branch and file your complain and it surely will be resolved.

    Anytime I try to register for USSD on my phone by dialing *966#. They will tell me that I don’t have an account whereas I already have an account in zenith bank. I’ll then see a 4 option, I’ll click on open account for self. Then after that they will tell me that my request cannot be processed because I already have a savings account with them. Pls I need this to be corrected so that I can be making my transfers easy without stress.

    But if you remember the previous password, you can use it, but I will advise you visit a bank for Password reset. Thanks
