*3551* New VTU MTN Recharge PIN (Problem and Solution)

*3551* is a new MTN Recharge PIN, it was previously *555*.

The new *3551* has the feature of only having 10 digits for the PIN.

In order to recharge, you dial *3551*followed by 10 digits on the Recharge card#.

For example *3551*0123456789#

*555* Replacement

The replacement is *3551* followed by PIN#, then press enter.

*888* Replacement

The replacement is *3551*2 followed by PIN#, then press enter.

Problems with *3551#

SP Service Timeout

After entering the PIN with the USSD, it takes long to load and card is not recharged.

This is preventing a lot of people from recharging their phones.

Connection Problem

    And I’m already pissed off
    I have called mtn customer care line twice the keep saying I should keep trying
    But the are limited in recharging 10 digit number from there office
    But can recharge 17 digit from there
    So I don’t know what to do

    All the MTN epins sold by a reputable dealer of MTN both #200 &#100 pins were not loading. For #100 recharge cards loaded with*3551* will say recharge card being processed partner by MTN.

    It’s annoying to know that I can’t just recharge quickly with this *3551. I ve been trying for an hour and it keeps saying top up failed. I know I won’t get solution here but the errors should be prevented cos some one in distress can possible recharge fast and make a call. So sad.

        What sort of nonsense is this mehn..! Trying so hard to keep my lines running and Mtn keeps making it difficult to recharge by asking me to try again later each time I try loading cards with this nonsense *3551*.
        You guys at mtn need to step up your game or else the next revolution will be #endbadnetworks.
